Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau’s New Guide to Assist Meeting Planners

The Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau has published a new Meeting Planners Guide.

The multi-section 3-ringed pocketed binder is designed to assist meeting and conference planners in bringing their events to Orange County, NC.  Planners will see in the guide easily defined tabs with insert pages on Chapel Hill, Carrboro and Hillsborough’s Hotels & Meeting Space; Other Meeting Facilities; Attractions; Weddings & Socials; Sports and Transportation.

Listings include location, contact information, number of sleeping rooms, property descriptions, amenities & services and easy-to-read floor plans.  Attractions noted include sightseeing tours, museums, historic homes & sites, gardens, performing arts and shopping. Weddings & Socials highlights area bed & breakfast properties and various unique wedding locales. Sports notes spectator venues, golf, parks, lakes and more. Finally, transportation features resources on getting to and from the Chapel Hill area as well as on site group meeting services including motorcoach and limousine offerings.

The economic impact of meetings, conferences and other events directly serviced by the Visitors Bureau Sales staff to Orange County in 2013-14 was nearly $2.7 million dollars.
